The brief
Chemsol Engineering Services (Pvt.) Ltd supplies water-treatment chemicals and equipment and offers project management and design-and-build services, from offices in Multan (head office), Lahore, Rawalpindi/Wah Cantt and Karachi. Its website ran on WordPress and was hard to extend. The company asked for a modern, mobile-first website and a dashboard its own team could run, with one rule above the rest: nothing on the old site could be lost. Every page, article, image, office address and search setting had to carry over.
What we built for the website
- A full rebuild with every old address kept. All existing pages, articles and the category page keep the same web addresses, and an automated check compared them with the old site address by address before the switch.
- A product catalogue with industries, applications and datasheets, and a quotation and sample-request flow that lands in the team's inbox.
- A mobile-first design in the company's own colours: a sticky header with search, bottom-sheet navigation on phones, and a dark mode that follows the visitor's device.
- Content that builds trust: articles with a share bar, moderated comments, related videos and an upcoming-events strip; events with calendar files; a photo gallery and a video gallery whose videos load only when played; project case studies; client and team pages; a newsletter sign-up with one-click unsubscribe.
- A "Meet us" request form. Each requester gets a private page to read replies, accept a proposed time or ask for another. Events can also accept free guest registrations, with places, approval and a waiting list.
- A participant portal. International and local participants create an account, confirm their e-mail address, upload documents securely, register for events and request letters.
- A public verification page where an issued letter can be checked by its QR code or code. It shows only the name, event, dates and whether the letter is valid.
- Search visibility kept and improved: sitemap, structured data, redirects, and automatic internal links between products, applications and articles.
What we built for the dashboard
- Access control: sign-in with roles and fine-grained permissions, checked on the server for every page and action, and an audit log of sensitive actions.
- Content management: pages, articles, products, industries, applications, events, gallery, team, clients and projects; a media library with multi-file upload; menus, redirects, link rules and site settings.
- Inboxes with a workflow: quotation and sample requests, contact enquiries, meeting requests (reply, propose or confirm a time, decline, complete), event guests and article comments.
- Participants and letters: records for people taking part in events, with passport and date-of-birth details encrypted and shown only to people allowed to see them. Visa support, confirmation and participation letters are written from editable wording, checked, approved by a second person and issued as a one-page PDF with a QR code.
- Newsletters: write, preview, send a test, then send in batches; subscriber management.
- Reports in Excel, PDF and CSV.
How it was delivered
The old WordPress site was never modified, so it stayed the way back. New tables were added beside the old ones, every database change was additive, and the delivery plan put a review copy on a separate address before the real domain was switched.
