Israr Ahmed Lab Bridge is a lightweight, zero-dependency Windows utility designed to eliminate manual data entry errors. It captures HL7 data directly from laboratory analyzers and syncs it securely with custom business management platforms.
What it Does
- Hardware Integration: Listens for finished sample data from your analyzer over network (Ethernet) or serial (RS232) connections.
- Secure Dashboard Sync: Saves data locally and forwards it to your clinic's central dashboard via encrypted HTTPS.
- Offline Resilience: If your internet connection goes down, nothing is lost. Messages queue locally and send automatically when connection recovers.
- Human-in-the-Loop Validation: Laboratory staff retain full control. Values wait in a queue for verification before release; nothing is pushed to patients automatically.
System Requirements
- OS: Windows 11 (64-bit) or later (runs natively using standard built-in Windows .NET Framework).
- Network: Outgoing HTTPS access only (no inbound open ports required).
- Hardware Support: Confirmed out-of-the-box compatibility with URIT BH-40P analyzers using standard HL7 protocol.
Installation 5-Minute Setup Guide
Step 1: Generate an Enrollment Code Log into your clinic's dashboard as a Laboratory Manager or Administrator. Navigate to Laboratory > Instruments, type a display name (e.g., "Hematology Analyzer"), and click Make an enrollment code. Copy the single-use 16-character key.
Step 2: Initialize the Wizard Launch AdamLabBridge.exe on your lab PC.
• Note: If Windows SmartScreen blocks it (due to an unsigned local certificate), click More info ➔ Run anyway.
• Accept the Windows UAC prompt to authorize installation as a background service.
Step 3: Run the Configurations Follow the 5-step interactive configuration prompt to input your dashboard URL, enrollment code, and preferred connection type. The program automatically installs a pe
Step 4: Configure the Analyzer Open the Setup menu on your analyzer hardware and match the settings displayed by the setup wizard:
- Ethernet / Network: Input Local IP, Server IP, Mask, Gateway, Port No., set Trans Select = Ethernet, Auto Trans = On, and Trans Protocol = HL7.
- Serial: Set Rate = 115200, StopBit = 1, DataBits = 8, Parity = NONE, Trans Select = Serial, Auto Trans = On, and Trans Protocol = HL7.
Step 5: Test Connection
Open your command terminal in the program folder and run:
AdamLabBridge.exe test
CLI Command Reference
Execute these commands via Command Prompt or PowerShell within the application directory: • AdamLabBridge.exe — Launches the interactive setup wizard.
• AdamLabBridge.exe status — Verifies local service states and dashboard connectivity health.
• AdamLabBridge.exe test — Emits a test frame to verify complete end-to-end data pipelines.
• AdamLabBridge.exe run — Runs the listener program directly inside the terminal window for active debugging.
• AdamLabBridge.exe uninstall — Gracefully stops and deletes the service alongside local firewall definitions.
Enterprise-Grade Security
- Data Masking: Local diagnostic logs stored in C:\ProgramData\AdamLabBridge\logs strictly strip all patient names and raw evaluation metrics.
- Cryptographic Protection: Machine-specific security keys are generated uniquely on setup, stored in the dashboard strictly as hashes, and protected on-disk using the Windows Data Protection API (DPAPI).
- Firewall Sandboxing: When operating over a network cable, the Windows Firewall rules adapt dynamically, blocking access to all devices except the specific IP assigned to the analyzer hardware.
